Looking at the bigger picture is an important part of management. When the small details grow to become overwhelming, managers need to take a step back and look at the larger scope of the project. Here are a few strategies to help build a bigger picture mentality:
1. Make time to just think: If you're a morning person, work on the project in the morning when your energy is high and you're alert.
2. Build ideas off of a partner: If you're stuck on a decision for the small details, simply ask a colleague what they think.
3. Clump responsibilities together and set goals: Tackling responsibilities in clusters is an effective way to get a job done.
4. Create a roadmap to action the steps (include dates): You can stay on track for your project if you set mini deadlines for yourself and your team.
