How to Celebrate Father’s Day

Last Updated on

"Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad, and that's why I call you dad because you are so special to me. You taught me the game and you taught me how to play it right."

- Wade Boogs

Today is a special day for the ones we called daddy. Dads have taught us a great deal. They have nurtured our logic, our discipline, and our courage. They were the ones that pushed us to scrape our knees and make mistakes. Thank you to all the dads out there that restlessly cared for the family and shied away from public acknowledgment. We love you and we appreciate you. If you need ideas to celebrate father's day, here are a few suggestions:

1. Give a handmade or purchased card

A card like this can cost between $4-$7 USD (200 rupees to 350 rupees). Offering someone a card during a special day with heartfelt words inside is a great way to express your feelings towards them.

2. Buy a gift

Gifts that fathers love include:

  • Neckties
  • Sweaters
  • Chocolates
  • Books
  • Equipment for his favourite sport/hobby

3. Eat delicious food together

Like many countries, we celebrate father's day with a meal together. This includes breakfast, brunch (10 am), lunch, or dinner at home or in a restaurant.

4. Spend the day together

When the children are young, families would go to the movies, park, zoo, or other places to celebrate the day. As individuals grow into adulthood, they often engage in simpler acts or only celebrate during morning.

We, at KNOLSKAPE, hope you all have an incredible father's day. Regardless of how you celebrate, the most important thing is to share your appreciation and love with someone you respect and admire.
